Lucy Mukhavi is a Youth Program Coordinator at LetsStopAIDS, where responsibilities include managing a portfolio of groups across Canada, mentoring educators and youth, and implementing school engagement strategies. As a Young Leader for the International AIDS Society and a Board Member for the Ambassador for Youth and Adolescent Reproductive Health Program, Lucy contributes to board preparations and advises on long-term strategies. Previous experience includes nurturing health awareness as a Peer Health Mentor with Children Of God Relief Institute and teaching jewelry-making to underserved women as a Teacher with Miracle Children Caregivers. Lucy also served as a Student Intern at the Ministry of Wildlife and Tourism in Kenya and the Tourism Regulatory Authority. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Science in Tourism and Travel Management from the Technical University of Nairobi and various certificates in health education and sales.

LetsStopAIDS is Canada’s Youth-HIV charity focusing on HIV prevention and knowledge exchange by engaging young people and fostering leadership. Founded in 2004 by then 15-year-old Shamin Mohamed Jr., LetsStopAIDS inspires youth in Canada and globally to play a meaningful role in ending the AIDS epidemic by 2030. Today, LetsStopAIDS strives to achieve zero new Youth-HIV infections.
