Phil Hempen

Project Manager at Level 10

Phil Hempen has been in the IT industry for over two decades. Phil began their career in 1995 at Walgreens as the Director of the Help Center & 2L Support. In this role, they provided 24/7 Tier I and Tier2 support to all national Walgreen locations. Phil was able to decrease inbound incident volume from 95% phone based to 80% web based. From 2008-2010, they were the Program Manager for the Rewiring for Growth project, which was a company wide project team established to achieve $1 Billion annual savings. In 2011, they moved to Walgreens Boots Alliance as the Manager of Security Operations Center, where they managed a $4 million annual budget and 60 FTEs providing 24/7 national support for emergency response, alarm monitoring, and technical support for burglar, fire, camera, and other security systems. Phil also managed all HR functions, developed operating procedures, and implemented multiple technology platforms. In 2017, they became a Project Manager at Level 10, LLC.

Phil Hempen obtained a BS of Science in Accounting from Illinois State University between 1979 and 1983. In March 1985, they obtained the CPA certification. In February 2008, they obtained the ASEP certification from the IHSA Coaching Education Program.
