Swapnil Sharma

Swapnil Sharma has a diverse work experience in various roles in the field of software engineering and development. Swapnil is currently working as a Senior Software Engineer - Backend at Level AI since March 2023. Prior to this, they worked at Interview Kickstart as a Software Engineer II (Backend), where they contributed to building a Django-based web platform for technical interview preparation for FAANG companies using AWS for cloud services. Swapnil joined as one of the initial developers and played a key role in scaling the team from 15 to 65. Swapnil actively participated in code reviews, led technical team discussions, and mentored interns. Before that, Swapnil worked at Trilogy Innovations as a Software Development Engineer, where they successfully completed 5 projects involving technologies such as AWS, Machine Learning, Python, etc. Swapnil also showcased their expertise in developing serverless architectures using cloud services like S3, API Gateway, Lambda, and QuickSight. Additionally, they have experience as a Google Summer of Code 2018 Participant at OpenAstronomy, where they worked on applying Fourier techniques to time-domain X-ray data for black holes and neutron stars. Earlier on, Swapnil worked as a Python Developer (Freelancer) at CRTCL Ventures: Startup Studio, where they developed Python scripts to extract data from cryptocurrency exchanges and standardized the data retrieval process from multiple APIs. Swapnil also worked as a Research Intern at Siemens Technology India, where they focused on parallel processing of data streams from IoT devices for inferring traffic-related air pollution at fog level. Swapnil also has experience as a Club Coordinator at the Space, Technology, and Astronomy Cell (STAC) at IIT Mandi, where they organized various astronomy-related events and activities. Swapnil worked as a Summer Intern at Indraprastha Institute of Information Technology, Delhi, where they worked on a web development project related to displaying research paper details on a website. Swapnil also gained experience as a Full Stack Developer at Space Telescope Science Institute, where they worked on the STScI project, developed API endpoints, and created a web interface for displaying information from the objects in the catalog. Lastly, they worked as a Lead Web Developer for Exodia IIT Mandi, where they developed the website for the tech-cult fest and managed event registration.

Swapnil Sharma completed their Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) degree in Computer Science and Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Mandi. Swapnil attended this institution from 2015 to 2019. Prior to that, they completed their secondary education at Delhi Public School, Bhilai from 2011 to 2013, earning a degree in Secondary Education and Teaching.
