Sai Nikhil Paluru

Sai Nikhil Paluru is a Big Data Engineer at Levelset. Sai has previously worked as a Sr. Big Data Engineer at Quicken Loans from October 2020 to July 2021, a Data Engineer at Capital One from July 2018 to October 2020, and a Data Engineer at Texas Instruments from June 2017 to July 2018.

Sai Nikhil Paluru has experience in designing and deployment of Hadoop cluster and different Big Data analytic tools including Pig, Hive, Cassandra, Oozie, SQOOP, Kafka, Spark, Impala with Cloudera. Sai has also used Spark-Streaming APIs to perform necessary Transformations and Actions.

At Quicken Loans, they were responsible for the Real-time streaming of data using Kafka and processing of data using Spark Streaming and loading of data into Kudu tables. Sai also developed Spark scripts by using Scala shell commands as per the requirement.

At Capital One, they used Spark API over Cloudera Hadoop YARN to perform analytics on data in Hive. Sai also worked on integrating Kafka with Spark Streaming for real time data processing.

At Texas Instruments, they worked on conversion of Hive/ SQL queries into Spark transformations using Spark RDDs and Data Frames(DF). Sai also received DStreams of data from input sources, processed them in a cluster, and pushed out to databases/ dashboards.

Sai Nikhil Paluru has experience in performance tuning of Spark Applications for setting right Batch Interval time, correct level of Parallelism and memory tuning. Sai has also loaded the data into Spark RDD and done in-memory data Computation to generate the Output response.

Sai Nikhil Paluru has a Master's degree in Computer Science from Wright State University and a Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronics and Communications Engineering from Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Anantapur. Sai also has certification from DataCamp in Intro to Python for Data Science, Microsoft in Data Science Orientation, DataCamp in Intro to SQL for Data Science, SAS in Base SAS Certification, and DataCamp in Introduction to R.
