Sam Hernandez

Sam Hernandez has over 30 years of work experience in various roles related to quality engineering and process engineering.

From 1990 to 1991, Sam worked at NTS Engineering as an Aerospace Electronic Engineer, where they were responsible for the Data Acquisition System used in recording data from the Titan IV Rocket. Sam also wrote test instructions for validating various systems.

From 1992 to 2004, Sam worked at Maxtor Corporation in two different roles. As a Sr. Process Engineer, they created and developed the customer configuration processes and attended daily manufacturing meetings to address configuration issues. Later, as a Sr. Quality Engineer, Sam designed and managed controlled change communication tools, improved turn-around time on quality process changes, and developed flowcharts for continual process improvements.

Since 2005, Sam has been working at Lexar Media as a Sr. Quality Engineer. In this role, they have been responsible for various tasks such as supplier qualifications, product qualifications, facility audits, and yield improvements. Sam has also established quality systems, improved product yields, and implemented an outgoing inspection process.

Overall, Sam has a strong background in quality engineering and process engineering, with experience in the aerospace and technology industries.

Sam Hernandez began their education at the US Airforce in 1978, studying Administration. Sam then attended Southern Illinois University, Carbondale from 1980 to 1982, pursuing a degree in Industrial Engineering. From 1986 to 1988, Sam enrolled in AASEET - ITT Technical Institute, focusing on Electronic Engineering and earning an AASEET degree. In 1988, Sam furthered their education at BASEET - ITT Technical Institute, studying Electronic Engineering and obtaining a BASEET degree in 1989. Following a break in formal education, from 1992 to 2008, Sam engaged in Professional Training to enhance skills and personal improvement.
