David Belmonte

David Belmonte is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in law enforcement and community service. Currently serving as President of the Paradise Acres Road District since September 2023, Belmonte also holds the position of Senior Accreditation Content Developer at Lexipol and has been an Assessment Team Leader for CALEA since 1999. Notably, Belmonte was Chief of Police for the Lake Bluff Police Department for three decades, from 1989 to 2019. Additional leadership roles include Executive Board Member for the Lake County Chiefs of Police Association and Secretary for the Lake County Incident Management Assistance Team. With a background on various boards, including the Northern Illinois Police Crime Lab and the SpeakUp Coalition, Belmonte demonstrates a strong commitment to community safety and wellness. Educational credentials include a Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice from Columbia College and a Master of Arts in Management from Webster University, complemented by attending the FBI National Academy in 2009.
