James Y.

James Y. has over 8 years of experience in finance. James began their career in 2011 as a Trainee Chartered Accountant at Blick Rothenberg, where they achieved first-time passes for all fifteen exams of the ACA qualification and led and worked on assignments for clients with multi-million pound turnovers in a variety of sectors. In 2015, they moved to Hearst Magazines as a Senior Management Accountant, where they were responsible for managing the company's entire subscriptions revenue, reporting of the lifestyle collection of magazines and calculating of sensitive commission payments for the entire advertising department. James identified opportunities within subscriptions to increase profitability and cash flow through better management of the receivables process and renegotiating the card and other fee charges. In 2016, they joined Pusher as a Financial Controller, where they were tasked with building out The Finance Function and providing key support to the top management team. James transformed financial processes and reporting to become a tightly organised first-class department. In 2018, they took a sabbatical to help support a family member, explore living abroad and develop other aspects of their life. James is currently the Head Of Finance at Lexoo since 2019.
