Clara Marchaud

Clara Marchaud is a multimedia journalist with extensive experience in Central and Eastern European reporting. Clara served as Deputy Chief Editor at Novastan.org, managing coverage of the Kyrgyz presidential election in 2017, and later worked as a multimedia journalist for AFP, earning recognition with the Prix spécial de la Bourse Ecoles 2020. Current roles include correspondent for Mediapart, Le Figaro, and L'Express, focusing on Ukrainian news and the ongoing war since February 2022. Clara has contributed to various media outlets as a freelance journalist and photographer while also working in internships at organizations such as Reuters TV and the Kyiv Post. Educational qualifications include a Master's degree in Journalism from the École de Journalisme de Sciences Po Paris and a Bachelor's degree from Sciences Po, emphasizing Central and Eastern European studies.
