Trulon Henry possesses extensive experience in mental health and community outreach, currently serving as a Mental Health Counselor at Leyden Family Service & Mental Health Center and as a Community Outreach Coordinator at Ignite Promise since August 2021. Previous roles include Program Support Specialist with the DC Fire Department, where responsibilities included operating fire apparatus and training firefighters, Legal Assistant at Harden and Pinckney with a focus on case development and client communication, and Program Facilitator at Alternative Paths Training School overseeing client services and staff supervision. Trulon holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and an Associate’s Degree in Marine Biology and Biological Oceanography from the College of DuPage.

Leyden Family Services provides a variety of counseling, treatment, and preventative services for children, adolescents, adults, senior citizens, and families. Furthermore, our services extend to people with many different types of needs. We support people who are suffering from temporary disruptions in their lives due to life changes, stresses, and traumas. We treat individuals with alcohol, substance abuse, and/or gambling problems. Our staff serves clients with serious and persistent mental illness as well as those having difficulties associated with aging. Leyden Family Services also provides community education targeted toward life enhancement.
