Stuart Hamilton is a seasoned library and information science professional with extensive experience in strategic development and international relations. Currently serving as the Head of Libraries Development at the Local Government Management Agency (LGMA) since August 2019, Stuart leads service innovation across the Irish public library sector. Prior roles include Deputy Executive Director for International Relations and Communications at Qatar National Library, and various positions at the International Federation of Library Associations and Institutions (IFLA), where responsibilities spanned policy development, advocacy, and project management. Stuart holds a Ph.D. in Library and Information Science from Danmarks Biblioteksskole, a Master's degree from University College London, and a Bachelor's degree in Medieval History from The University of Manchester.
