Dr. Mark Steiner

Dr. Mark Steiner has had a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Dr. Mark started their career at Credit Suisse as a Project Manager and Process Manager from June 2007 to September 2008. After that, they worked as a Managing Consultant at Horváth & Partner Management Consultants from October 2008 to December 2010. From May 2008 to June 2017, they served as the Treasury Secretary at Bezirk Hoefe. In 2009, they joined EW Höfe AG, where they held positions as a Member of the Board of Directors (February 2009 to May 2017) and Chairman of the Board of Directors (June 2017 to present). In 2011, they transitioned to LGT Private Banking as a Senior Project Manager for Business Development until July 2015, followed by the role of Head of Operations/Projects/Client Master Data from August 2015 to June 2017. From July 2017 to January 2023, they served as a Member of the Executive Board and Chief Operating Officer (COO) at LGT Bank Ltd. Currently, they hold the position of COO Region EMEA at LGT Private Banking since January 2023. Additionally, they have also held other board and council positions, including Chairman of the Board of Directors at Energie Ausserschwyz AG since March 2020 and Council Member at Gemeinde Reichenburg since June 2020. During their time at the University of Zurich, they worked as a Research and Teaching Assistant from March 2004 to May 2007, and later as a Lecturer for Law & Economics from September 2005 (currently ongoing).

Dr. Mark Steiner earned a PhD in Economics from the University of Zurich from 2004 to 2007. Prior to this, they obtained a Master's degree in Business Administration from the same university, spanning from 1998 to 2004. Dr. Steiner completed their secondary education at Kantonsschule Ausserschwyz, where they obtained a Matura degree in Mathematics and Science from 1992 to 1997.
