Founded in 2016 by members from Chiba University—one of Japan’s leading research hubs—Liberaware develops made-in-Japan drones engineered for confined, GPS-denied environments. Our drones are designed not just to fly, but to protect workers and preserve critical infrastructure in places where human access is dangerous or impossible.

Our technology gained worldwide recognition when a Liberaware drone became the first ever deployed inside the melted-down reactors at the Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Plant. This unprecedented mission proved our capability to operate in extreme, human-inaccessible environments—experience that now powers our solutions across infrastructure, energy, and industrial safety sectors.

Backed by industry leaders including JR East and Nippon Steel, we listed on the Tokyo Stock Exchange in July 2024, marking a milestone in our mission to transform industrial safety.

Today, Liberaware is scaling globally with a subsidiary in South Korea and strategic partnerships in Malaysia and Hong Kong, building a trusted platform to deliver innovative inspection and monitoring solutions worldwide.
