Liberty Fusion is a New Mexico–based deep-tech startup accelerating a low-cost path to commercial fusion power through Plasma-Jet-Driven Magneto-Inertial Fusion (PJMIF), a fusion approach that replaces billion-dollar superconducting magnets and lasers with arrays of off-the-shelf plasma guns. Leveraging a digital-twin simulation loop and the existing Plasma Liner Experiment (PLX) research from Los Alamos, the company can iterate hardware fast, cut development capital by an order of magnitude, and unlock early revenue from aerospace applications while marching toward sub-$0.07/kWh clean baseload electricity in the 2030s.
