Tim Lloyd

Tim Lloyd is the CEO at LibLynx. Tim has over fifteen years of experience in the digital content industry, with a focus on music and video. Tim previously served as the Chief Operating Officer at Alexander Street Press, where they helped to extend the company's audio platform to video and make it the largest vendor of audio and video to libraries worldwide. Tim has also held senior executive roles in product development, strategic acquisitions, and people management.

Lloyd has been instrumental in developing several groundbreaking products and services in the digital content industry. Tim was behind the development of the world's first streaming video service for libraries (Theatre in Video, 2006), the first video service providing searchable and synchronized transcripts (American Theirtory in Video, 2009), and the first online scores collection for libraries (Classical Scores Library, 2007). Tim has also licensed exclusive rights to more than 7 million audio recordings and developed exclusive partnerships with the Smithsonian Institution and the Library of Congress to publish unique content from their collections.

In addition to their work in product development, Lloyd has also led the acquisition and integration of several businesses, including Insight Media Inc. (Nov13), Asia Pacific Films (Oct12), and Ad Fontes LLC (Nov05). Tim has also been responsible for managing the Production department for 7 years (Mar06 - Mar13) and the IT department for 5½ years (Mar06 - Oct11). Currently, they are responsible for the Finance department for 2½ years (Oct11 - Jun14).

After completing their BSc in Economics from the London School of Economics and Political Science, Tim Lloyd pursued the ACA qualification from the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales.
