Brian Downing

Brian Downing is the Chief Executive Officer of Library Ideas, LLC, a position held since October 2009, overseeing a range of innovative products for public libraries, K-12 institutions, and military installations globally, including the popular Freegal Music service. Prior to this role, Downing served as Publisher at Recorded Books from March 1994 to August 2008. Downing holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Government from Skidmore College, completed in 1986, and graduated from Marshfield High School in 1982.
