Formally inaugurated On 13th of October, 2016, The Life Insurance Corporation ( LIC ) of Bangladesh Ltd embarked upon its momentous journey in true spirit of serving the people and nation as a whole. 

It is a new entrant in life Insurance Industry of Bangladesh. Insurance Development and Regulatory Authority has approved the license on 20.12.2015 to this company. 

It is a Company with 100 Cr. authorized share capital & 60 Cr. paid up capital. It is a joint venture company with Life Insurance Corporation of India as a promoter which is a Global Entity having its presence in 15 other countries like India, UK, UAE, Fiji, Mauritius, Sri Lanka, Kenya, Nepal etc and catering to the financial needs of 36 Cr. policy holders all over the world. 

 It has spearheaded the financial and infrastructure development of the nation. The performance of LIC is exemplary and it has been growing from strength to strength be it customer base, agency network, branch office network, and the like. LIC shall played a significant role in spreading life insurance among the masses and mobilization of people’s money for people’s welfare.
