LiCa Scientific is a specialist recruitment agency for chemistry. We have been in business for 10 years now, starting in 2016, and we provide 3 services which are contract/temporary, permanent and executive/retained search.

We have always been a highly specialised, niche provider of recruitment services in the chemistry market. If you need someone immediately we'd draw your attention to our temporary services which are app based using geolocated timesheet technology, and providing perfect record keeping of hours worked.

For permanent, our 10 years leads to a depth of network and efficiency that is totally unique to us.

In 2026, the market has moved to a scenario where unless someone was actively looking for a job in the last few months, you won't see them. With us, we have depths of networks that go back years allowing us to find people who are simply unavailable to you otherwise. The reasons for this are a combination of how the job board tech works and candidate behaviours shifting.

Many of our senior candidates are in successful careers with no presence on job boards or otherwise. We do have a private job board for them however https://www.licasci.com/cm/employers/candidate-profile-search

The company operates from Manchester, UK however we also have clients around Europe and the USA. The owner is a German speaker leading to a specific ability to cover the DACH markets.

To give a deeper background, our curious name is an amalgamation of our children's names, and we had a bit of fun making this into the logo.

The values here have never changed, business which is run by people who understand people, it expresses family values in how it operates which is in a trustworthy, ethical and honest manner.

We understand people. We understand that having the right job or recruiting the right team makes a huge difference. We know that moving job is an emotive time, we know hiring people can bring pressure to get things right. We are experts in navigating this.
