Colin Holmes has a strong background in finance and accounting. Colin currently holds the position of VP of Finance at Lick since June 2022. Prior to this role, they served as the Finance Director at Lick from March 2021 to June 2022. Before joining Lick, Colin was the Director of Business Intelligence and Analytics at Feelunique.com from June 2020 to March 2021.
From September 2015 to June 2020, Colin worked at Aesop as the Head of Finance and IT, Europe. In this role, they were responsible for building out the European finance and IT function from an outsourced model to a centralized in-house London team. Colin managed the establishment of new legal entities and implemented a cloud-based ERP system across all European markets.
Prior to Aesop, Colin worked as the Financial Controller at Clerys from December 2013 to July 2015. Clerys was a well-established department store in Ireland, where Colin oversaw financial control and managed finance, payroll, inventory, and cash office operations.
Before Clerys, Colin served as the Financial Controller at Joe Walsh Tours from December 2009 to November 2013. Colin was responsible for monthly management accounts, cash flows, budgets, and the preparation of consolidated statutory accounts.
Colin started their career as an Audit Senior at Smith & Williamson Ireland from October 2004 to October 2009. Colin also briefly worked as an Audit Senior at Nelson Wheeler Nexia from July 2008 to December 2008.
Colin Holmes began their education at Templeogue College, where they attended from 1995 to 2000. After completing their time at Templeogue College, they enrolled at University College Dublin from 2000 to 2004. During their time at university, Colin pursued a B.Commerce (International) degree with a focus on German. In 2002, they took part in an exchange program and studied commerce at the University of Duisburg-Essen for one year. After completing their undergraduate degree, Colin went on to further their education at Chartered Accountants Ireland in 2004-2007, where they obtained an FCA degree in Accountancy. In 2008, they pursued a Diploma in Corporate Finance from the same institution. Later, in 2012-2013, Colin attended Chartered Accountants Ireland again to obtain a Chartered Tax Consultant degree. Finally, in 2015, they completed a City & Guilds Accreditation in Retail Management at OSS Retail.
