Simon Davis

Director & Co-Founder at Lickd

Simon Davis is the current director and co-founder of Lickd, a UK-based company that provides new music to over 16,000 sites every month. Prior to founding Lickd, Simon was the CEO and founder of Soundnet, a company they started in November 2000 with the vision of improving music in pubs, shops, restaurants, and other leisure establishments.

Under Simon's leadership, Soundnet became one of the key providers of new music to jukeboxes in the UK, partnering with Leeds-based jukebox company Sound Leisure. At its peak, Soundnet supplied new music to over 63,000 locations across the UK. Key clients included Punch, Greene King, Enterprise, Mitchells and Butlers, Marstons, Quadriga, and the Arcadia Group.

During their time at Soundnet, Simon received multiple business awards, including two MOMA Drum awards for technology and music. In 2014, they sold Soundnet to TouchTunes Inc., creating an international jukebox business.

Simon Davis studied English and Humanities at The Manchester Metropolitan University, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree.

Simon Davis reports to Paul Sampson, Co-Founder & CEO. They are on a team with Raj Malkani - Head of Finance, Alex Brims - CTO, and Ian Samuel - Head of Partnerships.
