Kerry Smart has over 30 years of work experience in various roles within the nonprofit and retail sectors. From 2016 to the present, Kerry has been the Chief Executive Officer of Life Charity, overseeing the organization's operations and strategic direction. Prior to this role, Kerry served as the Deputy Chief Executive Officer and Director of Retail at Life Charity.
Before joining Life Charity, Kerry worked at The Air Ambulance Service from 2012 to 2016, initially as the Head of Fundraising and later as the Assistant Head of Fundraising & Supporter Services Manager. In these roles, Kerry was responsible for fundraising efforts and building relationships with donors.

Life is a national pregnancy support charity. Through our services, we help people - whoever they are - to meet pregnancy or pregnancy loss with courage and dignity so they can flourish. Our services include: • Free emotional help, counselling, and skilled listening via phone, text, email, or in person. • Housing and community support around the country for mums and their babies. • Free pregnancy tests and baby supplies. • Crafting content that educates the public about pregnancy, pregnancy loss, and our work. Our impact • Every day, 200 people reach out to Life for emotional and practical help about pregnancy or pregnancy loss. • More than 12,000 mums and babies have been housed by Life. At any one time, we’re housing more than 200 mums and babies in our network of houses. • More than 1.25 million people have heard a presentation by Life about our work. • Every month, Life gives skilled listening and counselling to 400+ people affected by pregnancy or pregnancy loss.
