Sandy McKinnon

Sandy McKinnon is a seasoned investment professional and board member with extensive experience in technology and consultancy. As a Partner at Pentech Ventures since June 2001, Sandy has focused on early-stage machine learning and scalable technology companies in the UK. Sandy has also served on the boards of several organizations, including Lifebit, nPlan, Stacker, and eola, contributing to strategic decisions and governance. Prior consultancy experience includes providing due diligence services and fundraising support, as well as serving as Director of Knowledge Transfer at Heriot-Watt University, where Sandy facilitated technology transfer and commercialisation. Sandy's earlier roles include management positions in advanced technology at Sagentia and Scientific Generics, along with a postdoctoral fellowship in nanotechnology at the University of Cambridge. Sandy holds a Ph.D. in Condensed Matter and Materials Physics from the University of Dundee.
