Lawrence Chee

Co-Founder, CTO at LifeBooster

Lawrence Chee has a long and varied career in the technology industry. Lawrence began their career in 1988 as a Bio-medical consultant for their own consulting firm, Lawrence Chee Consulting. In 1990 they joined Seiko Epson R&D as a Senior ASIC Engineer, where they managed a design group developing low power LCD 2-D graphics controllers. In 1998 they moved to PMC-Sierra as a Leader, Product Development, where they architected and managed the development and production release of a DSL traffic manager. Lawrence was later promoted to Manager Product Development and then to Director Product Development/Adv Technologies, where they defined reference design requirements for ADSLx, VDSL2, GPON and EPON Residential Gateway (RG) targeting triple play/quad play carrier deployments. In 2007 they took on the role of Technical Advisor/Consultant for Lumiense Photonics Inc. In 2008 they joined Mobidia Technology as CTO & VP Engineering, where they worked closely with the board, CEO, marketing, sales and product management in formulating strategies and tactics to bring client based solutions to both consumers and mobile operators. In 2012 they joined LP Technical Consulting as Principal, and also In Motion Technology as VP Engineering, where they reported to the CEO and was responsible for product strategy, product management and engineering. In 2014 they moved to Sierra Wireless as Director of Product Strategy, where they drove and published an agreed upon roadmap for a converged product line. Finally, in 2015 they became Co-Founder and CTO of LifeBooster Inc.

Lawrence Chee attended The University of British Columbia from 1985 to 1989, graduating with a Bachelor of Applied Science in Engineering Physics, Mechanical.
