Xiaoming Xu began their career in 2010 as a PhD student at Duke University, where they were a research assistant in the field of algorithmic game theory and a teaching assistant for discrete math, computational micro economics, and algorithm design. In 2015, they joined Lifecode, Inc. as a Software Engineer and developed a first order logic evaluation library, as well as used Docker to dockerize third party tools and integrated their images into the company's pipeline. In 2016, Xiaoming Xu joined Google as a Senior Software Engineer. Xiaoming specialized in advertising algorithms and led a series of innovative advertising algorithms which increased revenue by 8%. Xiaoming also collaborated with Google Research to develop an automated advertising tool and received the Google Ads Luminary Award in 2019.

Xiaoming Xu attended Duke University from 2010 to 2015, where they earned a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Computer Science.
