Michael Tate has a varied work experience, beginning in 2012. That year, they worked as an Intern for the Rhode Island Executive Office of Health & Human Services, a HIV Rapid Test Counselor for AIDS Care Ocean State, and an Intern/Consultant for the Connecticut-Rhode Island Public Health Training Center at Brown University's Medical School. In 2013, they became an Echo Lab Administrator at Boston Children's Hospital. From 2016 to 2018, they worked as a Technical Support Engineer at lifeIMAGE, and most recently, they held the role of Rules & Format Management Associate at athenahealth.
Michael Tate obtained their High School Diploma from Nipmuc Regional High School in 2009. Michael then went on to obtain a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Health Policy & Management (Major) and Sociology (Minor) from Providence College in 2013. In 2014, they completed their Master of Computer Information Systems in Health Informatics at Boston University in 2017. Additionally, they obtained a Certified Professional Coder (CPC) from AAPC in December 2019 and a Qualified Professional Test Counselor for HIV/AIDS Rapid Testing from the Rhode Island Department of Health in July 2012.
