Steve Cavan

Steve Cavan is the Chief Financial Officer for LifeLabs.

As Chief Financial Officer, Steve oversees all matters related to finance, working closely with LifeLabs’ Board of Directors, audit committee, and executive team. Steve contributions are instrumental in further enhancing LifeLabs’ core lab services capabilities, as well as fostering innovation by capitalizing on growth opportunities to continually expand and diversify its service offerings.

Steve joined LifeLabs in 2023 from Cormorant Utility Services, where he was the Chief Commercial Officer and Interim Chief Financial Officer. Prior to this Steve held senior Finance roles at B+H Architects, Ontario Power Generation, SNC Lavalin, and Dynacare.

Steve is a strategic and experienced executive finance leader and with his background in the energy, engineering, construction, and health care sectors, has a proven history of success in financial and metric reporting, strategy deployment, business integration and new business commercialization.

Steve is a current Director of the Addario Lung Cancer Medical institute, has served previously on several hospital boards in Ontario and supports Global Relief fundraising after spending a year and a half in Sudan in famine relief with World Relief Canda.

Steve is a Chartered Professional Accountant, holds a Bachelor of Science from the University of Guelph, a Graduate Finance and Accounting Diploma from Wilfrid Laurier University and a Director’s Education Program certificate from the University of Toronto’s Rotman School of Management.
