Lawrence Jen

Lawrence Jen, CFA (任乐思) serves as Managing Partner at Anderson Angels since March 2022, where the focus is on funding early-stage ventures from the UCLA entrepreneurial ecosystem. As a Board Member at LigaData and Founder/Managing Partner Emeritus of Westwood Ventures at Alumni Ventures Group since 2019, Lawrence has successfully sourced and led investments in over 20 private companies across various industries. Previously, Lawrence held the position of Senior Portfolio Manager at COM Investments, where an extensive investment program was developed for a multi-billion dollar family office, and worked at Russell Investments in investment research and portfolio development. Lawrence's earlier experience includes roles in Corporate Treasury at General Motors, investments at Vulcan and Boston Avenue Capital, and financial advisory at McKinsey & Company. Academic credentials include a Bachelor of Arts in Quantitative Economics from Stanford University, an MBA in Strategy and Finance from UCLA Anderson School of Management, and a Master's in Finance specializing in Investment Management from London Business School.
