Rima Shaban

Rima Shaban has extensive work experience in various roles and industries. In their current position at LigaData, they serve as the Director of People Operations & Organizational Effectiveness since December 2020. Prior to this, they were the Co-Owner and Director of Education at Sylvan Learning Montreal, starting in September 2020.

Before their roles in the education sector, Rima worked as a Training Content Manager at Neotelis Inc. from February 2018 to January 2020. Rima also held the position of Manager at the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center at Abu Dhabi University from January 2010 to November 2016.

Earlier in their career, Rima served as the Director of the ICT Incubator at the Syrian Computer Society from June 2006 to December 2009. Rima also worked as a Project Leader at Advanced Technology from August 2003 to September 2004. Overall, Rima Shaban has a diverse background and expertise in people operations, education, training, entrepreneurship, and project management.

Rima Shaban has a Master's degree in Networking and Telecommunications from Saint Joseph University, Beirut, which they obtained from 2004 to 2005. Rima also holds a Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Engineering from Damascus University, which they completed from 1986 to 1991. In addition to their formal education, Rima has obtained several certifications. In January 2016, they received a certification in Facilitating and Designing Workshops using LEGO Serious Play Method from Trivium Corporate Solutions. Furthermore, in July 2015, they acquired a certification in Mastering the Principles and Effective Delivery of the Ontological/Phenomenological Access to Leadership from the American Friends of the Erhard-Jensen Ontological/Phenomenological Initiative. Lastly, in February 2012, Rima completed the InfoDev Global Business Incubation Management Train-the-Trainer Program, which was offered by the infoDev - WorldBank program.
