Light Work
Cali M. Banks is a Communications Coordinator at Light Work since May 2023 and an Adjunct Professor at Syracuse University and Indiana University East, teaching Video Art and Photography. As Lead Artist for the Experimental Photography Festival since February 2022, Cali curates, reviews portfolios, and teaches. Previously, work included roles at Reel Works, where Cali served as a Documentary Lab Instructor and Program Coordinator, and multiple teaching artist positions at Creative Art Works. With an extensive background in arts education, Cali also held various teaching and graduate assistant roles at the University of Colorado Boulder and Allegheny College. Educational qualifications include an MFA in Interdisciplinary Media Arts Practices from the University of Colorado Boulder and a BA in Art & Technology and Global Health Studies from Allegheny College.
