Eric Ong

Eric is a Partner at Lightbank. He joined the firm in 2016 as an Associate, became a Vice President in 2018 and a Principal in 2020. He is focused on investments at the earliest stage. He has invested across consumer, enterprise, financial services and marketplace companies. Companies he currently works with includes Clearcover, Snaptravel, Paladin Cyber, Coffee Meets Bagel, and A.M. Money. Other investments include Riskmatch (acquired by Vertafore) and Pangaea Holdings.

Prior to joining Lightbank, Eric was part of the technology investment-banking division of Deutsche Bank in San Francisco where he advised clients across software, internet and hardware. During his time at Deutsche Bank, Eric executed over $30B in M&A advisory and capital markets transactions.

Eric received his degree from Northwestern University.
