Evelin Leiva

Evelin Leiva is a Data Science Analyst at LightBox since June 2021, focusing on the research, development, and testing of analytics and machine learning models for the location analytics industry using Python, Scikit-learn, and other geospatial tools. In the past, Evelin served as a Research Assistant at the Internet of Things Laboratory, addressing challenges related to naming IoT devices, and interned at Advent Appraisers, where market trend analysis was conducted for appraisal reports. Earlier experiences include research assistance at The Interdisciplinary Earth Data Alliance, contributing to the data systems for NASA's Astromaterials Collections and lunar data synthesis, and participation in the Minority Introduction to Engineering and Science program at MIT. Evelin holds a Bachelor of Arts in Statistics and Computer Science from Columbia University.
