Michael Babin

Michael Babin is a professional with a background in economics and urban studies, holding dual Bachelor of Arts degrees from the University of Pittsburgh. Currently serving as a Research Associate at LightBox since June 2022, Michael previously worked as an Associate Consultant- Engineer I at Celerity Consulting Group, where responsibilities included data cleanup and analysis as well as workflow design to enhance engineering efficiency. Prior experience includes roles as a GIS Research Assistant IV at the Department of Economics, Pittsburgh, and a Community Research Fellow for Pitt Honors College, focusing on housing price elasticity. Michael also has experience in qualitative data transcription at the Center for Social and Urban Research and research internships in urban studies. In addition, Michael contributed to the University as a tour guide, recognized for providing exceptional tours and support to prospective students and families.
