Ian A.

Ian A. has a wealth of work experience, having held various roles in a variety of companies since 2008. Starting their career as a Butcher / Fishmonger at John Lewis, Ian then worked as a Research Assistant at Ark Therapeutics in 2009. In 2012, they were a Security Team Leader for London 2012, and in 2014 they were a Plant Computing Analyst for ExxonMobil and a BOLD Immersion Programme participant for Google. From 2016 to 2017, Ian held the roles of Analyst at Nomura, Growth Hacker at Corporate Rebels, User Research + Product Design, Senior Product Manager, UK Data Research Lead, and Data Researcher at Cytora. Most recently, they were a Senior Backend Software Engineer at Sproutl in 2021, and is currently Head of Partnerships + Growth at Lightdash.

Ian A. began their education in 2002 at Sir William Borlase's Grammar School, where they completed their high school studies. In 2003, they attended a summer school at Canterbury Christ Church University, studying Mathematics. The following year, they attended a summer school at Imperial College London, studying Space Science. In 2005, they attended a summer school at Durham University, studying Advanced Mathematics. From 2010 to 2016, they attended UCL, where they earned a Bachelor's Degree, completed a placement, and earned a Master's Degree in Chemical Engineering. Ian also participated in an Erasmus program during this time. From 2015 to 2016, they attended Eindhoven University of Technology, where they earned a Master's Degree in Chemical Engineering.
