Paul Ourada

Paul Ourada has a long and varied work experience, beginning in 1981 as a Senior Service Rep at Xerox Canada. Paul then moved to Maxtor in 1989 as a Firmware Engineer, developing IDE/SCSI interface firmware for 40/80 Mbyte disk drives, the first modular architecture with reusable interfaces for disk drive firmware, and integrated test firmware for disk drives. In 1990, they became a Senior Software Engineer at Datex-Ohmeda. From 2004 to 2013, they worked at Covidien as a Senior Principal Software Engineer and Principal Engineer. Paul then moved to Medtronic in 2015 as a Senior Enterprise Application Architect. In 2018, they joined the University Center for Atmospheric Research as a Senior Software Engineer, assisting in updating their Raspberry Pi data collection platform and creating an automatic instrument configuration system. In 2017, they became Principal and Owner at BluSkai Systems, specializing in solving problems and getting products to market. Paul is currently a Principal Software Engineering Consultant at LightDeck Diagnostics.

Paul Ourada obtained a Bachelor of Science in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Colorado Boulder between 1985 and 1988.
