David Digiovanni

David DiGiovanni serves as the Senior Vice President of Technology and President at Lightera Labs since April 2025. Prior to this role, David held the positions of Chief Technology Officer and President of OFS Laboratories at OFS Fitel from April 2001 to April 2025. At OFS, David leveraged strategic evaluations of technology trends and industry needs to spearhead innovative programs that established the company as a leader in various advanced technologies, including fiber lasers, bend-insensitive optical fiber, and distributed acoustic sensing. David's leadership in R&D facilitated the development and industrialization of these technologies across global OFS locations. Earlier in David's career, the role of Director was fulfilled at Lucent Technologies - Bell Labs from January 1998 to January 2001. David earned a PhD, MS, and BS in Engineering from Brown University.
