Foad Shaikhzadeh

Foad Shaikhzadeh serves as Chairman and CEO of Lightera since April 2025 and holds the position of Corporate Senior Vice President at Furukawa Electric Co., Ltd. since April 2013. Previously, Foad was President and CEO of Furukawa Electric LatAm S.A. from April 2001 to March 2025 and worked at FURUKAWA INDUSTRIAL S.A. in various roles, including Diretor da Divisão de Engenharia de Sistemas, Gerente Planta Curitiba, and Gerente técnico between 1986 and 2001. Foad's career began at IBM Brasil as a Quality Engineer and spanned various engineering and quality control roles at FURUKAWA INDUSTRIAL from 1979 to 1985. Foad holds a degree in Electronics Engineering from USP - Universidade de São Paulo and completed additional management education at MIT Sloan School of Management in 2012.
