Currently serving as the Managing Director of Lightera Deutschland GmbH since April 2025, Schmid oversees operations at a leading provider of optical fiber and connectivity solutions. Prior to this role, Schmid held various senior management positions at OFS, including Managing Director and senior roles in customer service, business process management, and SAP project management, from December 2001 to March 2025. Schmid's career also includes significant positions at Lucent Technologies, NCR, and AT&T, with a strong foundation in financial management and operational control. Schmid holds a Diplomkaufmann degree in Betriebswirtschaftslehre from the University of Augsburg, completed in 1994.
