Robert Windeler

Robert Windeler is currently the Technical Manager of Specialty Fiber at LIGHTERA, a position held since 2025. Before this, they spent three decades at OFS Laboratories, where they also served as Technical Manager, focusing on specialty fibers and hollow core band gap fibers. Windeler began their research career at AT&T Bell Labs as a Postdoctoral Researcher and later worked as a Research Scientist at Lucent Technologies Bell Labs, contributing to innovations in specialty fibers. They earned a Doctorate in Chemical Engineering from the University of California, Los Angeles, after completing a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering at the University of Delaware.
