Will Sommerville

Will Sommerville is the Chief Technology Officer at LightGuide. Will has a background in electrical engineering and systems validation engineering. Will started their career at Chrysler in May 2012 as an electrical engineering systems validation engineer. In this role, Will was responsible for developing a test environment and configuration GUI that would allow engineers and technicians to quickly and easily program their test plans into the computer. Will also improved the test reporting, analysis, logging, and test statistics capabilities that were native to CANoe and added a Visual Basic .NET interface that allowed for easier issue reporting, stepping backwards and forwards through the test, inserting comments, and other features. In addition, Will developed models for various vehicle platforms with hundreds of test cases and thousands of test steps.

Will Sommerville is currently working on their PhD in Electrical Engineering at Oakland University. Will has also completed a BS in Electrical Engineering from Kettering University, an MS in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Oakland University, and has taken some courses in Alternative Energy at Wayne State University. Additionally, they have completed 16 credits in Electrical Engineering at Reutlingen University.
