Francesca Caprioli

Francesca Caprioli has a diverse and extensive work experience in the field of chemistry. Francesca is currently working at LIGHTHOUSE Instruments as the Laboratory Director since October 2022. Prior to this role, they served as the Senior Study Manager from October 2021 to November 2022 and as the Study Manager from August 2020 to November 2022.

Before joining LIGHTHOUSE Instruments, Francesca worked at Syncom BV, starting in 2014. At Syncom BV, they held the position of Lab Head from June 2015 until their current role, overseeing an internal laboratory consisting of 15 people. Additionally, they worked as a Research Chemist from April 2014 to November 2022, specializing in various fields of chemistry, including pharmaceuticals, high lipophilicity molecules, sugar chemistry, enantiomers resolution, and libraries.

Francesca's educational background includes a PhD in Organic Chemistry from the University of Groningen. During their time at the university from April 2010 to December 2014, they conducted experimental research in the field of asymmetric catalysis under the supervision of Prof. Syuzanna Harutyunyan.
