David Binder

David is the Chief Operating Officer at Lighthouse, where he is responsible for managing the company’s financial activities, including planning and analysis, accounting, financial operations, strategic development, and overseeing strategy implementation. David brings over 25 years of extensive financial, strategic planning, and leadership to Lighthouse.

Prior to this role, David was the Chief Financial Officer at Blue Nile, where he managed all aspects of the company’s financial functions, including financial reporting and accounting, financial planning and analysis, treasury, and investor relations. David joined Blue Nile in 2011, when the company was being publically traded (NASDAQ: NILE) and evolving its strategy to increase investment in order to re-accelerate growth. During his tenure, David helped lead Blue Nile through a tremendous period of expansion and innovation, culminating in the sale of the company to Bain Capital in 2017.

Before joining Blue Nile, David served as the Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer at Infospace, Inc. He has also held various financial leadership positions at Drugstore.com, Inc., HomeGrocer.com, Inc., and AT&T Wireless.

David holds a M.A. in Economics and Finance from Brandeis University.
