Jim Carr

Jim Carr has a diverse work experience in the field of engineering, with a significant focus on hardware and systems engineering. Jim is currently serving as the Director of Systems Engineering at Lightmatter since August 2018. Prior to that, they worked as a Principal Electrical Engineer at Raytheon for a brief period in 2018. From 2016 to 2018, they held the position of Sr. Manager, HW at Mellanox Technologies. Before that, Jim worked as the Director of Platforms Engineering at Tilera Corp from 2006 to 2016. Jim gained valuable experience as a Principal Engineer at Sun Microsystems from 2004 to 2006, and also worked as a Senior Hardware Engineer at Pirus Networks from 2000 to 2004. Jim's career began at Brooktrout Technology, where they worked as a Senior Hardware Engineer from 1996 to 1999. Jim started their professional journey as a Hardware Engineer at Memotec Communications in 1984.
