Physical Design Flow And Methodology Lead at Lightmatter

Jon Elmhurst has over 25 years of experience in the field of ASIC design. Jon is currently working at Lightmatter as the Physical Design Flow and Methodology Lead since May 2018. Prior to this, Jon worked at Mellanox Technologies as a Senior Staff Engineer from January 2013 to May 2018.

Before joining Mellanox Technologies, they held the position of Senior Lead ASIC Design Engineer at Arrow Electronics from October 2004 to January 2013. Jon was responsible for various tasks such as design flow, timing closure, test architecture and planning, as well as being the primary customer and foundry contact. Jon was also involved in the development and implementation of different design flows and was a key contributor to large-scale designs.

Prior to their role at Arrow Electronics, Jon worked as an ASIC Physical Design Engineer at Sandburst from November 2001 to October 2004. Here, they successfully developed and implemented design flows for TSMC and LSI Logic ASIC through tape-out, and was responsible for various tasks related to physical design.

Before Sandburst, Jon worked as a Lead ASIC Design Engineer at Avici Systems from January 1999 to November 2001. Jon also served as a Lead ASIC Design Engineer at WYLE Electronics from October 1993 to December 1998 and as an ASIC Design Engineer at Space and Strategic Systems Division, Honeywell from May 1993 to October 1993.
