Umesh Singh

Umesh Singh is a seasoned engineer with extensive experience in product and test engineering across multiple organizations. Currently serving as a Staff Product/Test Engineer at Lightmatter since January 2024, Umesh specializes in laser technologies and silicon photonics. Previously, Umesh held positions at AEye, Inc. as a Senior EOL Test Engineer/Project Manager, effectively leading LiDAR test development for major clients while ensuring product quality. Umesh also contributed to automotive-grade LiDAR projects at Veoneer, managed 400G test architecture at Kaiam Corporation, and supported optical transceiver developments at Finisar. Umesh's academic background includes a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Wyoming and a Master of Technology in Physics from the Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee.
