Christian Carrera

Christian Carrera is a knowledgeable mechanical engineer with extensive experience in the engineering field. Currently serving as a Mechanical Engineer at LightPath Technologies since July 2020, Christian previously worked as a Mechanical Design Engineer at the University of Florida Infrared Astrophysics Laboratory from March 2017 to July 2020. Demonstrating leadership abilities, Christian held roles as Vice President of Technology and Co-Lead Director of the 3-D Scanner Project within the Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers at the University of Florida from September 2016 to May 2018. Additionally, Christian served as Lead Director of the 3-D Printer Project for the same organization from September 2016 to May 2017 and acted as an Ambassador for Multicultural and Diversity Affairs from January 2016 to May 2017. Christian holds dual Bachelor of Science degrees in Aerospace Engineering and Mechanical Engineering from the University of Florida, obtained in 2020.
