Michael Kupchick

Michael Kupchick is an experienced software engineering professional with a strong background in research engineering and algorithms optimization. As Director of Research Engineering and Algorithms Optimization Team Lead at Lightricks since February 2016, Michael has effectively transitioned state-of-the-art research to mobile platforms while establishing best practices and improving development processes. Previous positions include roles at Optimet Ltd as a Sr SW engineer and Algorithms developer, and at Simbionix, focusing on medical simulators. Michael has also contributed to 3D laser scanner software architecture at Optimet Ltd, developed a WebDAV storage server at Eternix, and engaged in defense-related GIS system development. Michael began a career in software engineering at Intel Corporation and has a foundational background in GIS system architecture from service in the IDF.
