Tavi Halperin

Tavi Halperin is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in research and software engineering, currently serving as Research Director and Research Team Lead at Lightricks since July 2017. Prior experience includes roles as a Research Intern at Lightricks, Teaching Assistant at The Hebrew University of Jerusalem, and a Research Software Engineering Intern at Google, where Tavi contributed to personalized emoji projects using deep learning. Tavi has a strong background in computer vision algorithms from work at Rafael Advanced Defense Systems, focusing on 3D reconstruction and segmentation. Tavi began a career at Intel Corporation as a software engineer. Tavi holds a PhD in Computer Science, a Master’s Degree in Computer Science, and a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and Computer Science, all from The Hebrew University of Jerusalem.
