Maarten Vankan

Maarten Vankan is a seasoned investment professional currently serving as Partner at Lightrock since May 2023. Previously, Maarten held the position of Senior Portfolio Manager for Global Small Caps at Van Lanschot Kempen from July 2014 to May 2023, where Maarten successfully launched and managed the Kempen Global Small-cap Fund, achieving significant AUM growth and outperformance while leading on ESG initiatives. Prior experience includes roles at Cyrte Investments as Portfolio Manager specializing in Technology and Internet sectors, ABN AMRO Asset Management focusing on global equities, and Aegon Asset Management managing North American equities. Maarten holds a Master of Science in Econometrics from Tilburg University and is a CFA charterholder.
