Aidan Collins is a seasoned professional in environmental planning and community engagement, currently serving as Head of Environmental Planning for Lightsource bp since April 2015. With experience as a Principal Environmental Planner, Aidan specializes in assessing sites for solar project potential and managing planning applications across Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland. Previously, Aidan held the position of Senior Planner in Ireland, as well as Community Services Manager at Castlereagh Borough Council, where responsibilities included stakeholder engagement and staff management. Aidan started as Planning Manager at TAGGART HOLDINGS LTD, overseeing a significant land planning portfolio. Aidan holds a Master of Science in Town and Country Planning and a Bachelor of Science in Geography from Queen's University Belfast, alongside a Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management from the Impellous Institute.
