Barb Jacobs

Barb Jacobs is an accomplished professional in government relations and policy, currently serving as the Director of Government Relations at Lightsource bp since September 2022. Prior to this role, Barb held various positions including Manager of Policy, Regulation and Markets at Avangrid Renewables and Project Manager for the Energy Transition Lab at the Institute on the Environment at the University of Minnesota. Extensive experience in the Minnesota Senate includes roles as Committee Administrator for both the Environment and Energy Policy and Finance Committee and the Health, Housing and Family Security Committee, as well as serving as a Legislative Assistant. Barb's educational background includes a Bachelor's Degree in English and Art History from the University of Minnesota and a Master's in Public Affairs from the Humphrey School of Public Affairs, focusing on Science, Technology and Environmental Policy with a minor in Law.
