Blayne Gunderman

Blayne Gunderman is an experienced environmental professional with a strong background in permitting and compliance management across various energy sectors, including renewable energy, oil and gas, and transmission. Currently serving as Senior Director of Environmental Affairs at Lightsource bp since October 2021, Blayne previously held roles at Tetra Tech as Senior Project Manager, managing large-scale energy projects, and at NextEra Energy Resources as Senior Manager of Operations HSE, where leadership of a team focused on compliance in upstream drilling and asset operations was key. Earlier experiences include environmental management positions at BP and ACCIONA, overseeing wind farm permitting and compliance, as well as environmental management at New Athens Generating Company, where responsibilities spanned air, water, and waste compliance. Blayne holds a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science from the State University of New York at Plattsburgh and pursued a Master's in Law at Albany Law School.
